Mayor Betsy Price, stepping down in June from her post after 10 years in the office, had a simple explanation when CBS 11 asked her in an interview why she thought she'd won Fort Worth Inc.'s inaugural "Person of the Year" award last week.
“I don’t know, maybe they like crazy people!” she said, jokingly.
But the real reason she was selected was due to the impact she has had on Fort Worth, which is now the nation’s second fastest-growing city, Price said during the interview.
“You know, I have to hope (I was chosen) because I’ve really helped to shape this city in ten years,” Price says. “We’ve seen such growth and so many changes.”
