Here's a way to raise the profile of a new estate sales company: Secure, as customer, a massive sale at the Granbury country home of a Major League Baseball owner.
The sale will be Nov. 5-8 at the home in Granbury. The Fort Worth firm, Lemons to Lemonade Estate Sales, launched by Christine Jones and Karen Robinson, said it will disclose the location at 9 a.m. Wednesday Nov. 4 on its Lemons to Lemonade Estate Sales Facebook page. It didn’t identify the client. Here’s more information about the sale. UPDATE: Wednesday morning, Lemons to Lemonade published the address of the home on its Facebook page; Rangers owner Bob Simpson and wife Janice own it, according to Hood County tax records.
The description of the sale: “Once in a lifetime sale at country home of MLB owner. Jones and Robinson had early careers in management at Neiman Marcus in Fort Worth and Dallas, leaving after 10 years to raise families, but regularly organizing events, garage sales, and fundraisers as volunteers for nonprofits, schools, and neighborhoods.
The two launched the firm six months ago. “Once we put the word out to our friends that we were doing this formally, we have had consecutive events booked since,” Jones, executive director of The Greatest Gift Catalog Ever nonprofit in Fort Worth, said. “We have been working seven days a week for six months. And we have never been happier.”
“We pride ourselves in not just hosting a sale,” Robinson said. “Anyone can do that. But we work very hard to reach the right buyers for what we have through communications and connections.”
People attending the Granbury sale must sign a waiver for entrance onto the gated property. Those forms are available on the Lemons to Lemonade Facebook page.
