For Fort Worthians more or less reluctant to work out at a big box gym, there's a new boutique option now open on South Hulen Street that promises a private experience customized to one's abilities.
The Exercise Coach, an Illinois-based personal training franchise, opened its first Fort Worth location Wednesday at 2745 S Hulen St., between The Tavern and Trader Joe’s. Dubbing itself a "smart fitness studio," the location forgoes traditional equipment for artificial intelligence-enabled machines that adjust to the ability of the user and keep track of their progress. Clients get strength and interval cardio training in two, 20-minute sessions per week, working one-on-one with a trainer (the studio doesn't allow more than four clients per trainer for semi-private training).
