Cantey Hanger
Cantey Hanger attorney Matthew Alagha, a TCU undergrad, has been recognized as a “Texas Rising Star” for 2022 by Texas Super Lawyers.
The state list will appear in the April’s Texas Monthly.
Alagha earned his law degree from South Texas College of Law in 2014 and is a 2011 graduate of TCU.
Only about 2.5% of the eligible lawyers in the state are recognized each year. The annual selections are made using a patented, multiphase process that includes a statewide survey of lawyers, an independent research evaluation of candidates, and peer reviews by practice area. To be eligible for inclusion, a candidate must be 40 or younger, and in practice no more than 10 years.
Before joining Cantey Hanger in its Dallas office, Alagha served as an assistant city attorney and criminal prosecutor at the Dallas City Attorney’s Office and worked for a Dallas-based commercial litigation and insurance defense firm.
His practice is focused on general civil defense litigation, first-party and third-party insurance defense, commercial litigation, real estate litigation, environmental law and internal investigations.
