Cook Children’s Health Care System named Dr. Eric Hubli its first surgeon-in-chief, who will be administrative leader over surgery and procedure-related matters, Cook said.
Hubli leads Cook’s Pediatric Plastic Surgery program, specializing in craniofacial and cleft surgery. He joined Cook in 2008, and also has served in administrative roles.
Hubli led efforts to verify Cook as the first Level I Children’s Surery Center in North Texas, sa certification sponsored by the American College of Surgepons.
“Dr. Hubli is a service-driven leader who has a demonstrated commitment to our mission, as well as in-depth knowledge and experience in the operating room,” Rick Merrill, CEO of Cook Children’s said. “Having a surgeon-in-chief will allow Cook Chidren’s to further open the line of communication and identify opportunities for surgical advancement.”
Hubli received his medical degree from Tufts University in Massachusetts, and holds a master’s degree in health care management from Harvard University.
