Fidelity Investments is hiring more than 475 new employees in North Texas, particularly at its Westlake center, by mid-year, a company spokeswoman said.
The jobs are part of Fidelity’s continued expansion of its U.S. footprint “in response to unprecedented customer engagement,” Janelle O’Haugherty, a North Texas spokeswoman for the company, said. Fidelity said earlier in the week it’s hiring more than 4,000 people across the United States, with at least half planned to be filled by midyear.
The new North Texas jobs include technologists and client-facing employees such as financial consultants and customer service representatives, Fidelity said. Fidelity has more than 6,200 employees in North Texas.
Fidelity also said it’s expanding in more than 20 new U.S. markets to “access diverse pools of remote licensed financial planners in Houston, Seattle, Detroit and Miami, plus other new geographic areas.”
