Two companies that connect jobs and employees, one full-time and one part-time. Another company that reduces the friction for finding and buying gift cards to local, small businesses. An engineer and her solar-powered water purification system for underserved populations; and another founder who is improving healthcare for women and non-binary individuals.
These five female-led companies are the inaugural Satori Capital honorees. Each has been awarded $1,000, provided by Satori Capital, that enables them to participate in TechFW’s spring cohort of ThinkLab, a nonseed, accelerator program.
TechFW, the leading accelerator and incubator in Tarrant County for technology companies, and Satori Capital, a Texas-based, multi-strategy investment firm, announced this partnership in December
“We are honored to be part of an initiative that supports entrepreneurship and empowers women in business,” says Satori Capital co-founder Randy Eisenman in a statement. “Our stated purpose is to create, fund, and inspire businesses that elevate humanity, and TechFW is clearly aligned with us in this endeavor.”
The awards provide education, coaching, mentoring, and networking with entrepreneurial leaders, and the training to potentially take their ideas to market. The partnership with Satori Capital removes any cost barriers that may hinder a female entrepreneur from participating.
“We are ecstatic to be working with these amazing founders,” says Hayden Blackburn, executive director of TechFW. “It is an honor to partner with Satori Capital and support these female founders as they invest their efforts into the foundations of their technology ventures and skill development. Congratulations to all.”
Allbodies Collective | Ibby Roscoe

Sixty-seven percent of women in the U.S. are considered overweight or obese, according to BMI.
Ibby Roscoe and her company, AllBodies Collective, are passionate about promoting a new standard of care for women and nonbinary individuals. "We need to start meeting people where they are and support them toward the goals that matter most to them,” Roscoe says.
“We want to give better access to whole-person care that encompasses preventative and intervention outcomes from all provider specialties. I am very passionate about creating a space to disrupt the healthcare system.”
Aqua Luci | Palmira Cumbo

Aqua Luci is a water purification solution company founded by Palmira Cumbo, an electrical engineering student at UT Arlington. She envisions starting in Angola because the company's marketing strategies include raising awareness and providing sustainable purified water to communities in under-developed countries.
The system is powered by a solar cell that uses a 70-by-142-inch solar panel that captures sunlight and generates a flow of electrons that charge a 12V battery. The electricity in the battery will be used to charge the UV lamp, control circuit and pumps. The stored electricity in the battery will also be used to power these components on days when there is little-to-no sunlight.
Cumbo is raising money for a prototype and operations.

Small Kindness | Abby Mayer

Modern technology affects every aspect of our lives, yet there currently is no “one-stop shop” for consumers to easily buy, send, and redeem gift cards from local, small businesses. Abby Mayer and Small Kindness aim to fill that void and put money in the pockets of small businesses and kindness in the heart of conscious consumers.
The goal is to unlock revenue for small businesses in the quickly growing gift card market. Within two years, Mayer projects to have funneled at least $2.4 million to small businesses, especially minority-owned businesses, directly through digital gift card transactions on the Small Kindness app.
She has launched social media (Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn) and plans to have at least 500 small businesses on the Small Kindness platform by the end of 2022.
