The Tarrant Area Food Bank said its Mega Mobile Market will now distribute food at Herman Clark Stadium Wednesday evenings, beginning Sept. 8, to serve families in need.
"Families can expect to receive a variety of fresh produce, dairy and protein, though the specific contents what each family receives depends on TAFB’s product availability," the Food Bank said.
The Food Bank is seeking volunteers to assist at their Distribution Center sorting and packing boxes for events like our Mega Mobiles. Sign up to volunteer at tafb.galaxydigital.com.
The markets will be held 6 p.m.-8 p.m. each Wednesday at Herman Clark, east of Tarrant County College Southeast at 5201 CA Roberson Blvd. in southeast Fort Worth.
"Food insecurity is still an issue that many families in the Tarrant area are facing," the Food Bank said.
"During the Delta Variant pandemic, TAFB continues to see an increase in the number of families who relied on food bank services for the first time. Because of this, many families are still recovering from the effects of COVID-19. TAFB continues to step up and assist by providing access to nutritious food to families in need."
