Two legacy commercial real estate firms in Fort Worth are merging.
Ellis & Tinsley Inc. and Vasseur Commercial Real Estate will form Team & Vasseur Commercial Real Estate. The new firm, officials there said, brings together “proven leadership and experienced staff to carry forward shared legacies of local knowledge, deep-rooted relationships, and unwavering commitment to the Fort Worth and Tarrant County West communities.”
Nathan Vasseur and Charles “C.B.” Team, leaders from the merged firms, drove the merger and have taken the reins as partners at the new agency, according to a press release.
TVCRE will operate from a newly renovated building at 4420 W. Vickery Blvd. The building’s design features architecture from the postmodern era with energy efficient upgrades and drought-tolerant native landscaping — a nod to Team’s service on the Tarrant Regional Water District Board of Directors.
Bill Ellis, who founded Ellis & Tinsley in 1983, will remain involved as an owner, the firm said.
"C.B. and I share many of the same goals for this new company," said Vasseur, whose family has been a leading figure in local real estate since the 1970s. "We want to be the firm Fort Worth businesses trust because we understand their market. At the same time, as a combined firm, we’re able to leverage newer technology and efficiencies that a larger office will always have over separate, competing offices. It's the best of both worlds.”
That growth will be focused on what Team calls the “three-legged stool” of brokerage, property management, and investment services.
“At our core, we’re a local relationship company,” Vasseur said. “Fort Worth is a big city, but in one vital way, it’s still a small town. Relationships and reputation are at the heart of everything here.”
The new firm said it enjoys the experience of agents with 20 and 30 years and some with even 50 years of experience.
A fifth generation and lifelong Fort Worth resident, Team had served since 2013 as a partner and principal at Ellis & Tinsley Inc., which he joined in 2006 as an associate. He holds both Texas and Colorado Real Estate Brokers Licenses.
In addition to his service as an elected member of the Tarrant Regional Water District Board, Team has been appointed to various community and city of Fort Worth boards and currently serves on the Camp Bowie District Board of Directors and Development Advisory Committee.
Team, a former 40 Under 40 recipient, is a past winner of the REALTOR Spirit Award by The Greater Fort Worth Association of Realtors.
Team and Vasseur both earned degrees from University of Texas.
Vasseur, also a Fort Worth lifer, began his real estate career in 2008 when he joined Coldwell Banker Commercial Searcy Vasseur Group. Most recently, he was the co-owner of Vasseur Commercial Real Estate in Fort Worth, a local real estate company with roots in Fort Worth dating to the early 1970s. He was appointed partner there in 2018.
“We were always friendly competitors,” Team said of Vasseur. “But working side-by-side we’ve realized we share the same values and the same vision for strategic growth. I’m excited about what comes next — for us, our team, our clients, and for Fort Worth.”
