LFA Machines has plans to expand operations in Fort Worth, the second such development since opening its Texas location in 2016.
In a statement, the UK-based company said it had recently closed on a 65,000-square-foot warehouse in south Fort Worth to accommodate growth demands and capacity to service more customers across the U.S. while also creating more job opportunities in the Fort Worth market.
Initially, LFA Machines will occupy 25,000 square feet with the additional space due to come online in the coming years.
The building, located off Will Rogers Boulevard near the Carter Industrial Park, sold for an undisclosed amount.
LFA Machines started as a UK-based operation in 2009, and in 2016 opened a small, 4,000-square-foot space on May Street in south Fort Worth. The company opened a larger, 16,000-square-foot-space off North Sylvania Avenue in 2018. Initially focusing on small tablet presses, LFA has since expanded to offer capsule fillers and mixers.
“When we opened our Fort Worth office, we only had three team members as we worked to break into the U.S. market,” Alastair Sanderson, co-founder and COO, said in a statement. “Today, we have grown our Texas-based team to 14, and we look forward to continued growth in our new space.”
In addition to offices in Oxford, UK, and Fort Worth, LFA Machines has offices and an operation in Taiwan that allow the company to manage much of its own supply chain and quality control.
“Our top focus has always been on our customers and creating a positive experience for them,” said Richard Sanderson, another co-founder and CEO. “By expanding our operation here in the U.S., we will be able to expedite services to our current client base while finding new businesses in previously untapped industries.”
