Six women-owned businesses operating within LOCAL Design Studios + Gallery will soon have increased square-footage. The office space is expanding two years after opening.
LOCAL, 3610 W. Vickery Blvd., features office and warehouse space alongside a storefront open to the public every Wednesday. The workspace will soon be taking over the location next door, currently held by Hayden Construction.
“We are all growing and busting at the seams in our current space,” says Ro Rynd, owner of RM Rynd Interiors and co-owner of Clearly Handbags.
LOCAL says they're aiming for a November opening for the additional 3200 square feet, primarily used as warehouse and office space for the LOCAL businesses.
“Each of our wholesale businesses are booming and the extra space is needed to pack and ship orders across the country,” Rynd says. The six LOCAL brands have become national brands thanks to a having a reach of more than 500 stores, according to a news release.
Guest designers, artists, and businesses will continue to be invited to pop-up at monthly events at LOCAL. “They’re a great way to introduce Fort Worth to other small businesses but also a great way for us to meet and mingle with our loyal customers who have supported us along the way,” Rachel Hausser, co-owner of Wabash Road.
The six Fort Worth-based businesses in LOCAL:
- Lila+Hayes, owned by Paige Casey and Amanda Galati
- Kori Green Designs, owned by Kori Green
- The Bow Next Door, owned by Emily Lee
- WabashRoad, owned by Rachel Hausser and Calli Galati
