Whitley Penn said on Monday that partner Matthew Reiter will become the Director of Audit, starting Jan. 1.
“Having Matthew, a strong and effective leader, step into the role of Audit Practice Director is an exciting move for the firm,” says Larry G. Autrey, managing partner. “He has led our Quality Control focus for the Audit practice for seven years. Through his leadership, dedication to the firm, and excellent client service, I am confident that he will bring our Audit practice to new heights.”
Says Reiter: “I am looking forward to working further with firm leadership to build on the strong client relationships we have established and to also bring new insight for our practice.”

He has extensive public accounting experience, auditing both public and private clients, and focuses primarily in the following industries: technology, health care, manufacturing and distribution, logistics, and professional services.
He serves as the chair of the board of directors of the Frisco Chamber of Commerce, treasurer for Frisco FastPacs, finance committee chair for St. Andrew United Methodist Church, an advisory board member for Heroes for Children, and a former member of the Texas Tech University Accounting Advisory Council.
