North Texas Community Foundation
Chris White
The North Texas Community Foundation said Tuesday it named Christopher White as its new chief financial officer.
White succeeds Stan Ninemire, in the post since 2016. Ninemire will continue to consult with the Foundation on investment management and non-cash asset transactions, the foundation said.
White will oversee the finance, accounting, information technology and human resources. He will be responsible for reporting program and financial activities and safeguarding the foundation's assets.
“We are pleased to welcome Chris as our CFO,” Rose Bradshaw, president and CEO of the Foundation, said in a release. “Chris brings invaluable expertise and will help maintain the Community Foundation’s legacy of operational excellence and strong fiscal stewardship to support the goals of our donors and their charitable beneficiaries. We are thrilled to have him on board as the Community Foundation enters a new phase of growth.”
White has 14 years in financial and operations management with businesses and other organizations. White comes to the Community Foundation from Sproles Woodard, where he has served since 2011, most recently as an audit manager.
White is a Certified Public Accountant and earned his Masters of Public Accounting from the University of Texas at Arlington. He also holds a bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of Texas Austin.
White served as board chair of the North Central Texas Alzheimer’s Association from 2018-2020.
“It’s an exciting time to join the Community Foundation, an organization I have admired for its superior management of charitable funds and investments,” White said.
“I look forward to utilizing my experience in leading finance and operations teams to support the Foundation’s vision of creating a better future for individuals and communities across North Texas.”
The North Texas Community Foundation serves an 11-county region, helping its clients manage their philanthropy and leading on key community issues. The Foundation serves local individuals, families and corporations. It has $422 million in assets and made about $32 million in grants in 2020.
