Omnicell, Inc. (Nasdaq: OMCL), a leader in transforming the pharmacy and nursing care delivery model, announced the appointment of Baird Radford as executive vice president and chief financial officer, effective Aug. 26.
Radford succeeds Nchacha Etta, who will step down from the role but remain in an advisory position through November to support a smooth transition, according to the company.
Radford brings more than 30 years of financial leadership experience in healthcare and technology. He most recently served as CFO of Allakos Inc., a biotechnology company focused on developing therapeutic antibodies, where he led finance strategy and investor relations.
“As we continue our transformation to become a digitally-enabled medication management technology company, Baird’s deep expertise in healthcare and technology growth will be pivotal in aligning our financial strategy with our innovation roadmap, best positioning us to advance the industry-defined vision of the Autonomous Pharmacy,” said Randall Lipps, chairman, president, CEO, and founder of Omnicell, in a statement. “On behalf of myself and the Board of Directors, I would like to thank Nchacha for his invaluable insights and contributions over the past few years and wish him all the best in his future endeavors.”
Radford’s career includes senior finance roles with Aimmune Therapeutics, HeartFlow, Intuitive Surgical, eBay, and PricewaterhouseCoopers. He holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Ohio University.
“Building on my career helping to grow leading healthcare companies, I deeply believe in Omnicell’s mission to be a trusted healthcare partner and the company’s strategic focus on delivering outcomes-centric solutions designed to enhance experiences for patients and care providers,” Radford said. “I am honored to join this team of passionate transformers in an effort to leverage my expertise to help drive the company’s strategy forward."
