PRIM Construction has begun construction on a new office and manufacturing building for WilliamsRDM, a Fort Worth-based woman-owned defense manufacturer.
The project, designed by Schwarz Hanson Architecture and managed by Joe Bloodworth, will span 85,000 square feet. Construction is scheduled for completion in 12 months, PRIM said.
The new facility, in Benbrook off Loop 820, will be in close proximity to defense contractor Lockheed Martin, which works with WilliamsRDM.
“We are excited about the collaboration with PRIM Construction and Schwarz Hanson Architects on the development of our new manufacturing facility,” said WilliamsRDM CEO Melissa Williams Hoskins in a statement. “This partnership represents a significant opportunity to expand our business and enhance our capabilities, positioning us for future growth and innovation.”
PRIM Construction is a general contractor founded in 2007 by Beth and Trent Prim. PRIM has been awarded multiple US Green Building Council LEED Awards and is currently certified as a Women's Business Enterprise and a state of Texas HUB contractor.
“Working with a company like WilliamsRDM is an honor,” said Trent Prim. “They are an integral piece of our national defense system, and we are thrilled to build a new home for a company of their caliber.”
