The Texas Rangers will hold a “Vaccination At The Plate” event tonight, when the team plays Oakland at 7:05 p.m. at Globe Life Field in Arlington.
Unvaccinated guests with tickets to Monday’s game can receive a COVID-19 vaccination shot between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m., on the Upper Suite Level next to the ballpark’s Northeast Entrance.
Kroger and its pharmacy team will administer the shots. “Guests can receive either a first or second shot of the Pfizer vaccine or the one-shot Johnson & Johnson vaccine,” the Rangers said.
If guests choose their first Pfizer shots, they’ll be able to schedule their second shots at their local Kroger Pharmacy. Guests can also elect to receive their second Pfizer shot at the ballpark. If so, “they should bring their vaccination cards to be completed at Globe Life Field,” the Rangers said.
Guests will receive a vaccination card on-site if they are receiving the first Pfizer shot or the Johnson & Johnson vaccination, the Rangers said.
Guests who receive a COVID-19 vaccination shot during Monday’s event will receive a voucher good for two tickets to a 2021 Sunday-Thursday Rangers home game in the Upper Box/Upper Reserved price scale.
“For guests who wish to receive a vaccination shot on Monday night, it is recommended that they register in advance by going to texasrangers.com/vaccine, which will include a link for the Kroger vaccine registration page,” the Rangers said.
Major League Baseball is working with all 30 Major League clubs in June to offer ticket incentives to unvaccinated fans through the “Vaccinate At The Plate” program. More information on the league-wide initiative is available at mlb.com/vaccine.
