
Standard Meat Co. said it named Heather Irby to be its new director of human resources.
Standard Meat, a family-owned meat processing and packaging company with plants in Dallas and Saginaw, is a global supplier of custom meat portioning and packaging solutions for the food service and retail industries. The company has more than 700 employees.
“As Standard Meat continues to grow and evolve, it’s critical that our staff processes do as well,” Ben Rosenthal, the company’s CEO and co-president, said in a release. “We are looking forward to moving to the next level with Heather at the helm of our human resources function.”
Irby will focus on the administrative aspects of internal growth and performance, leading the daily management and operations of Standard Meat’s HR programs including compensation, benefits, recruitment, and training and development. She will also help ensure legal compliance and implementation of Standard Meat’s mission and talent strategy.
Irby will define HR needs to support Standard Meat’s 5-year strategic growth plan, design new and improved measures for performance evaluations, and collaborate with other members of leadership.

Irby formerly served as vice president and human resources business partner for Regions Bank in Dallas-Fort Worth. She also was vice president at Comerica Bank and PlainsCapital Corp. in Dallas. Irby received her Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from Texas Tech University, and her Masters Degree in Business Administration from University of Texas at Dallas.
