The Tarrant Area Food Bank announced Wednesday a partnership to provide more than 250,000 meal kits to be distributed to needy families in Tarrant County and 12 surrounding counties by year’s end.
The program is part of HelloFresh’s Meals with Meaning program, which donates meals kits to those facing food insecurity. “Each meal kit consists of a step-by-step recipe card and all the ingredients needed to make Chicken Sausage Pasta with Tomato Cream Sauce & Zucchini or Cheesy Chicken & Bean Taco Skillet, in addition to a bag of fresh fruit,” the Food Bank said in a release.
The meal kits will be assembled every Wednesday at the Tarrant Area Food Bank’s Distribution Center in Fort Worth by volunteers, and initially distributed at the weekly Mega Mobile Market, which takes place at Herman Clark Stadium in Fort Worth, 9 am to 12 p.m. Fridays.
