Trademark Property Company, a mixed-use investor, developer, and operator, has announced the hiring of Sarah Uren as vice president-ancillary revenue.
Uren will be responsible for evolving Trademark's specialty leasing program and overseeing short-term, experiential pop-ups and other ancillary revenue opportunities across the company's retail and mixed-use portfolio.
"As Trademark continues to expand its portfolio, it became clear that we needed a dedicated leader to build an ancillary revenue program that could match our ambition," said Jamie Cox, senior vice president of property operations. "With her deep well of expertise, we're confident that Sarah's leadership will unlock new opportunities, enhance property activations, and support the kind of engaging, experience-driven retail today's consumers are seeking."
Uren will lead the restructuring of Trademark's specialty leasing program, collaborating with leasing, development, and asset management teams. Her responsibilities will span from experiential pop-ups to seasonal activations to long-term brand partnerships and sponsorship opportunities, supporting entrepreneurs, small businesses, and national tenants. According to a press release, her immediate priorities include finalizing holiday pop-up plans and addressing vacancies, with goals of increasing net operating income and occupancy through creative activations.
"There is considerable opportunity in the ancillary revenue sector that can drive real, profitable impact at the destinations that Trademark has curated in some of the country's fastest-growing markets," Uren said. "I'm passionate about activating spaces in ways that support entrepreneurs and bring energy to our properties."
Uren brings over 20 years of shopping center industry experience, with expertise in specialty leasing, sponsorship, and advertising revenue. Most recently, she served as senior director of specialty leasing at WPG, where she led a team of 12 managers across 17 properties, overseeing more than 1,000 tenant agreements annually. Under her leadership, the team achieved a 25% increase in new tenant acquisitions and improved lease renewal rates by 35%.
Trademark's portfolio includes Lincoln Square in Arlington, and Left Bank, Westbend, and Alliance Town Center in Fort Worth, as well as properties across Missouri, Maryland, Georgia, Florida, and Louisiana, including Galleria Dallas, Market Street – The Woodlands, and Zona Rosa in Kansas City.
