The UMB Charitable Foundation made total year-end donations of $2 million to nonprofits within UMB Financial Corporation’s footprint, including three nonprofits in Fort Worth and Tarrant County, according to a press release.
This is the fourth consecutive year the company has designated year-end donations totaling $2 million and brought UMB Financial Corporation’s and the Foundation’s 2024 total giving to more than $5.8 million.
“We are honored to support these fantastic organizations and the critical services they provide to our communities,” said Mariner Kemper, chairman of the Foundation and chairman and CEO of UMB Financial Corporation. “One of the primary tenets of our 111-year-old organization is to support and give back to the communities in which we live and work. We look forward to seeing the positive impact these donations will have on the people and communities we serve.”
Nonprofits impacted by the donations are Fort Worth Area Habitat for Humanity Inc., Union Gospel Mission of Tarrant County, and Tarrant County Homeless Coalition.
Recipient organizations were selected based on specific needs, current and future partnership opportunities and alignment with one or more of UMB’s philanthropic pillars: arts, agriculture, financial education and self-sufficiency.
