Jess Ascencio
Fort Worth-based Westwood Contractors, a leader in nationwide retail and commercial construction, has announced the promotion of Jess Ascencio to human resources manager.
Ascencio will oversee both the strategic and daily operations of the HR department, including policy development, talent acquisition, employee relations, compliance, and benefits administration. She will also act as an adviser to management, guiding performance management and fostering a workplace culture focused on engagement, collaboration, and professional growth.
“Jess has been an integral part of our team since the day she joined Westwood,” said Robert Benda, CEO, in a statement. “Her professionalism, depth of knowledge, and ability to balance regulatory compliance with a people-first approach make her the ideal leader to guide our HR function into the future.”
With 16 years of human resources and employee relations experience, Ascencio has served organizations across diverse industries such as clean energy, pharmaceuticals, retail, technology, finance, accounting, and education.
Ascencio, a certified Professional in Human Resources through the Human Resources Certification Institute, joined Westwood as an HR generalist nearly a year ago, according to the company.
