Whitley Penn Managing Partner Larry G. Autrey has been named to D CEO’s Dallas 500 List, the Fort Worth-based accounting firm announced Wednesday afternoon.
The Dallas 500 profiles the most influential leaders in North Texas, across a wide spectrum of industries. It’s produced by the editors of D CEO, the award-winning business title of D Magazine Partners.
Autrey was a member of Fort Worth Inc.’s The 400, a list of the most influential people in Fort Worth, this year.
“It is an honor to be named to the Dallas 500 among so many other outstanding North Texas business and economical leaders,” Autrey says in a statement. “North Texas has been a thriving market for Whitley Penn to grow in over the years and we have found tremendous success through the business landscape that those named in the Dallas 500 have helped build.”
D CEO’s list represents months of research, interviews, and conversations with extensive, high-level contacts in the regional business community, according to the publication.
Autrey enjoys more than 30 years of tax, advisory, and business valuation experience focused on public and private clients. His areas of practice include mergers and acquisitions, manufacturing, distribution, profit enhancement, professional services, business valuations and estate planning.
Autrey earned bachelor’s in accounting and finance from Texas Tech University, and an MBA with a data analytics concentration from Abilene Christian.
Autrey is the Former Chairman for the Major Firms Group, a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and a member of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Autrey was formerly on the Cook Children’s Hospital Board of Trustees, the Texas Land Conservancy Board, a former Board Member for the Community Enrichment Center, and was a former Chairman for the Community Foundation of North Texas.
He is the former Chairman of the Board and former Vice Chairman for the ACH Child & Family Services Foundation; former National Advisory Board Member for BBVA Compass; former Chairman of the Tarrant County United Way — Alexis de Tocqueville Society; former Chairman of the Fort Worth Chapter Young Presidents Organization; former Chairman of The Bridge Youth Shelter; a former Chairman of the World President’s Organization, and is a former Board Member & Assistant Treasurer for the Child Study Center of Fort Worth among many other Board roles for non-profits in the areas of land conservation, children’s advocacy groups and the organizations supporting health and the arts, to name a few.
