Kimpton
The 226-room Kimpton Harper Hotel, downtown's newest lodging, opened Wednesday in the former XTO Energy building in downtown Fort Worth.
The Memphis-based Development Services Group, Inc., acquired and renovated the landmark building, originally built in 1921 as the headquarters for Farmer's and Mechanics Bank.
Located at 714 Main St., the hotel has dueling centerpieces: a chef-driven Italian restaurant, il Modo, and a penthouse bar and cocktail lounge called Refinery 714. Named after the hotel’s street address, the latter is located on the 24th floor and offers classic cocktails, wine, whiskeys, and elevated bar bites, served against a backdrop of picturesque downtown views.
