Every year, Fort Worth Inc. publishes its list of The 400: Fort Worth’s Most Influential People. One distinguished individual is chosen from the list as the magazine’s Person of the Year. A special event will be held to honor these outstanding individuals whose influence and contributions make a positive impact on our city (and beyond).
The cocktail reception honoring our Person of the Year, Opal Lee, and The 400 will take place Thursday, May 19 from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. at The Fort Worth Club. You can purchase tickets here.
Fort Worth Inc. selects the annual Person of the Year based on the individual’s lifetime achievements and recent positive impact on the city of Fort Worth.. The magazine selected Opal Lee, nicknamed the “Grandmother of Juneteenth,” for her more than 40 years of tireless work to ensure equality for all Americans and commemorate Juneteenth as a national holiday.
Betsy Price, former mayor of Fort Worth, was the inaugural winner for Person of the Year in 2021.
