Justin Boots Vintage Collection
The Justin Boots people were beyond enthused on Friday to introduce its highly anticipated Vintage Collection, now available and just in time for the glitz, glamour and bright lights in the high desert, Las Vegas, and the renowned National Finals Rodeo. (Which we’ll miss, by the way, after a rousing good time at the Globe Life Field a year ago. That’s no bull.)
They tell us that this new collection is inspired by some of the most iconic boots in the Justin archives.
“They have reinvented favorite styles of the '70s and '80s that were just too beautiful to stay in the past,” a news release informs. “The collection boasts Vintage Turquoise, Rustic Amber, Midnight Black, and Antique Yellow sure to match any outfit in your wardrobe.”
The classic retro styling of the Vintage Collection, the company says, features rich, saturated colors with vibrant threads unique to each boot.
“There’s tremendous history behind the Justin brand and I want to share that story with our generation and generations to come,” Rachel Clark, product designer, said in the statement. “By reinterpreting successful Justin styles from the past into the trends of today, the Vintage Collection shows the true history of Justin. The new Whitley style was inspired by a Justin silhouette that dates to as early as 1917.”
Justin Boots has been a Fort Worth institution since 1925, the boots “ideal for field, priced specially,” as they said in those days of arriving here. However, everybody already knew them, what with its founding in 1879. Herman J. Justin had a market for trail hands near the Chisholm Trail at Spanish Fort. The original Mr. Justin (the Mr. Justin we all know, Herman’s grandson, would become a civic giant in Fort Worth) quickly gained a reputation for making better boots than the government issue. (Insert your own jokes here.)
The collection debuted at the Justin VIP Vintage Collection Launch Party in October at the John Wayne Museum in the Fort Worth Stockyards. Three of the boots are now available for purchase here, with the Antique Yellow hot on their heels coming in mid to late November.
