Techstars Physical Health Fort Worth Accelerator is about to welcome its second cohort.
The program, focused on supporting companies that are building new technologies, treatments and therapies in the physical health space, announced last week 10 startups from around the world that will be participating.
Each company will take part in an intensive 13-week program, receiving hands-on mentorship, curated entrepreneurial content and programming, and access to a vast network of mentors, investors, alumni and influential corporate executives.
“Our second class is definitely keeping up the tradition of incredible founders and entrepreneurs who are addressing some outstanding problems and opportunities in the world of physical health,” said Trey Bowles, managing director of Techstars Physical Health Fort Worth.
The new cohort will also be one of the first tenants in the new Create FW co-working space and entrepreneurship center in the Near Southside.
Techstars is a global investment business that provides access to capital, one-on-one mentorship, and customized programming for early-stage entrepreneurs. Fort Worth’s Techstars program is a three-year initiative spearheaded by the University of North Texas Health Science Center (HSC), along with the City of Fort Worth, Tarrant County and Goff Capital.
“This collaboration of public, private and educational institutions gives these founders a unique opportunity to develop sound business models that are built on science and supported by Fort Worth’s entire ecosystem,” Bowles said.
