Fort Worth-based AZZ Inc. (NYSE: AZZ), a leading independent provider of hot-dip galvanizing and coil coating solutions in North America, on Thursday announced that it has been honored as a member of Newsweek's list of "America's Most Responsible Companies 2023."
The award is presented by Newsweek and Statista Inc., the leading statistics portal and industry ranking provider.
"This award reflects the hard work and commitment of our leadership team, sustainability council, and employees as we deliver on our commitment to build a more sustainable future for our business and the end-markets we serve," said CEO Tom Ferguson in a statement.
America's Most Responsible Companies were selected based on publicly available key performance indicators derived from CSR Reports, Sustainability Reports, and other reports as well as an independent survey. The key performance indicators focused on company performance in the environmental, social, and corporate governance areas, while the independent survey asked U.S. citizens about their perception of company activities related to corporate social responsibility.
The final award recognizes the top 500 most responsible companies in the United States, spanning 14 industries. Fort Worth-based Range Resources also made the list.
"We are advancing ESG as a strategic priority across our company while staying focused on driving growth, enhancing shareholder value, reducing our impact on the environment, and continuing to invest in our employees and the communities in which we live and work," Ferguson said.
