T3 Partnership
David Saenz
Tarrant To & Through (T3) Partnership this week announced that David Saenz will serve as T3’s new senior education advisor.
In this role, he will provide strategic counsel in partnership with the Mayor’s Council on Education & Workforce Development and expand program and pathway offerings for students.
Saenz is a founding board member of T3 and has worked closely with Mayor Mattie Parker and the Mayor’s Council on supporting public education in Tarrant County, ensuring students have pathways to career exploration and success.
In collaboration with the Mayor’s Council, the new position is designed to advance education initiatives to increase enrollment and broaden opportunities in early college high schools (ECHS), pathways in technology (PTECH), career and technical education (CTE), and dual credit programs, as well as support college and career readiness goals of area school districts.
“T3 opens doors for opportunity and creates a village of community support to help our students succeed,” said Saenz in a statement. “I’m looking forward to my expanded role within the Fort Worth region, further building on the opportunities for students across Tarrant County and strengthening our community in the long run.”
Saenz has worked in public education for 22 years across Tarrant and Dallas counties, including 10 years with the Fort Worth school district, where he most recently served as head of strategic Initiatives and partnerships.
Saenz has master’s degree and doctorate in educational administration from University of North Texas. He also has a certificate in advanced school leadership from Harvard. He earned a bachelor’s from University of Texas.
“Dr. Saenz has been a champion of and asset to T3 since our founding, bringing a unique perspective on education and strong relationships with community leaders to benefit our students,” said Natalie Young Williams, Executive Director of T3. “We are thrilled to officially welcome him to the team and work together to strengthen these partnerships and unlock even more opportunities for students across Tarrant County.”
This advisory position with T3 was made possible through funding support from the Sid W. Richardson Foundation.
“Our board is pleased to support Dr. Saenz’s appointment and T3’s work on behalf of our Tarrant County students,” said Pete Geren, president and CEO of the Sid W. Richardson Foundation. “Through our shared commitment to expanding degree and credentialing opportunities, we are confident this collaboration will provide significant and transformational opportunities for our students.”
