Cantey Hanger announced Thursday that Gregory B. Cox is joining the firm, bringing with him a broad range of experiences on his path to becoming the newest associate.
Cox, who received a bachelor’s in theology from Biola University in California and his law degree from Baylor, has a résumé that includes work in the state of Texas’ executive branch as an executive aide to Gov. Greg Abbott, as well as a judicial intern for Chief Justice Jeff Rose of the 3rd District Court of Appeals; the interim chief of staff for the Texas Health and Human Services Commission; and chief of staff, then associate general counsel for the Lower Colorado River Authority.
He also previously worked in private practice in Austin.
In addition to his undergraduate and graduate studies at Baylor, Cox is a graduate of the Energy Executive Course at the University of Idaho College of Business and Economics.
