The LVTRise Board of Directors announced on Tuesday that it has selected Paige Charbonnet as the interim executive director.
Charbonnet has served the agency as a board member and most recently as the board secretary.
Since its inception, LVTRise has dedicated its work to collaborating with community partners, empowering community members through training and case management and impacting the Las Vegas Trail community addressing education, improved quality housing, and reducing neighborhood crime.
“Paige is a true servant leader, who always answers the call of service,” says Ty Stimpson, LVTRise board president, in a statement. “When I approached Paige about serving us in this capacity, she was not only willing to serve, but ready to hit the ground running and take LVTRise to the next level. As we go through this transition, there is no doubt in my mind that we have a strong, committed leader at the helm of LVTRise.”
Charbonnet is a lifelong Fort Worth resident. She is married to Justice of the Peace Jason Charbonnet, and they have two children, Knox and Grier.
“LVTRise and Rise Community Center have become a valuable resource to this community,” says Charbonnet. “I look forward to furthering our partnerships and the release of the eventual transformation plan.”
Charbonnet says that she is dedicated to seeing the organization and community center into the next chapter and providing leadership to continue the work to empower the area’s residents and impacting the trajectory of the future.
Charbonnet’s work began under the leadership of former Fort Worth City Councilman Brian Byrd and other community leaders in the initial phases of LVTRise, as well as collaborating with board members and executive leadership in a strategic plan for the area.
“Paige has been an excellent leader of LVTRise since its inception,” says Michael Crain, current District 3 City Councilman. “I am excited to have her energy, insight, and passion for change in this new role as we move forward with the Las Vegas Trail Revitalization Plan.”
