Mouser Electronics
Eric Wendt
Mouser Electronics Inc. recently announced the appointment of Eric Wendt to vice president of supplier management.
Wendt will oversee Mouser's large group of suppliers across the passive and industrial automation product categories.
Wendt has extensive experience in the interconnect, passive, and electromechanical (IP&E) and industrial automation arena.
He managed many of the passive product lines at DigiKey before creating and bringing the industrial automation business unit to prominence.
"On behalf of all of us at Mouser, we are very excited to welcome Eric to the Products Department,” said Jeff Newell, Mouser senior vice president of products, in a statement. "Eric is well known in the industry as a creative and successful leader.”
Wendt will report directly to Newell and oversee Mouser’s growing line card of manufacturers in the product categories of industrial automation and passive components.
As a global authorized distributor, Mouser, based in Mansfield, offers the widest selection of the newest semiconductors, electronic components and industrial automation products, according to the company.
Formerly, Wendt founded a highly successful contract manufacturing company specializing in wire harnesses and control panels, as well as running one of the most profitable branches for the former Kent Electronics.
His first experience was in the technical arena starting and managing a business that specialized in quick turn computer repair.
“As Mouser continues to expand its industrial automation business, we will greatly benefit from Eric’s knowledge, expertise and leadership,” Newell said.
