Georgia-based Southwire formally opened its customer service center in north Fort Worth this week.
Somewhere in the neighborhood of 150 stakeholders and guests helped usher in the new era with the ceremonial ribbon cutting on Thursday at AllianceTexas’ Alliance Westport 25.
“We’ve owned this land for 30 years, and I can’t think of a better client to have on it than Southwire,” said Ross Perot Jr., chairman of Hillwood, the developer of AllianceTexas. “We have 27,000 acres in the AllianceTexas program, and about 70,000 people a day come to work here.

“The reason we win business is because of the culture and workforce. Your loyalty, dedication and focus are why Texas continues to grow. We look forward to Southwire growing with us.”
Southwire for more than 70 years has been one of the leading manufacturers of wire and cable used in the transmission and distribution of electricity.
The nearly 1.2 million square foot facility will distribute its products for the full suite of Southwire solutions, including business segments such as commercial, residential, utility, industrial, and electrical products and engineered solutions.
The Alliance facility — Southwire DFW CSC — is expected to employ 250.
“The grand opening of the DFW CSC is a significant moment for Southwire,” said Rich Stinson, Southwire president and CEO. “This facility is a true reflection of our ongoing modernization efforts and our relentless commitment to providing the very best customer experience.
“We’re investing more than $1.5 billion across our Southwire footprint, integrating newer and better equipment, systems and technology into our operations to increase efficiency, enhance competitiveness and ensure the capability and capacity to support our strategic growth.”
