Perry Ginn, regional market president for Tarrant and Johnson County at American National Bank of Texas was awarded Tarrant County Bankers Association’s 2024 Banker of the Year earlier this month.
Ginn, who has more than four decades of banking experience, including more than 20 years with ANBTX, is the first ANBTX team member to win the distinguished award, which was presented to him at a luncheon at River Crest Country Club.
“We’re extremely proud of Perry and all the work he’s done in Tarrant County since becoming our regional market president,” said Robert Hulsey, president and CEO at ANBTX. “We’re excited to celebrate him and even more excited to watch him continue to grow the bank’s presence in and impact throughout one of our nation’s most vibrant and diverse regional economies.”
American National Bank of Texas, founded in 1875 in Terrell is an independently owned bank with assets over $6 billion and 30 locations throughout North Texas, serving Collin, Dallas, Hunt, Johnson, Kaufman, Rockwall, Tarrant, and Van Zandt Counties.
Ginn joined the bank in 2004 as a regional market president for Hunt County, a role he spent two years in before being appointed to his current position in 2006.
Since then, Ginn has helped the bank expand its footprint across Tarrant and Johnson counties from one loan production office in Burleson to four locations in Burleson, Fort Worth, Mansfield, and Hurst.
“This award wouldn’t be possible without our great team at ANBTX, and it serves as a culmination of all the hard work our Tarrant County team has put in over the past year,” Ginn said. “It’s a great way to end the year and something we’ll continue to build on as we head into 2025.”
Ginn earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in finance from the UT Arlington and a graduate degree from the Southwestern Graduate School of Banking at SMU.
