Texas Health Resources
Starting today, Burleson is home to a Texas Health Resources Breeze Urgent Care center, which will service the growing city and surrounding rural domains.
The walk-in clinic is located at 12601 South Freeway, Suite 110, on the northbound frontage road.
Breeze healthcare providers can treat a variety of healthcare concerns, including allergies, earaches, sprains, and most minor illnesses. Flu vaccines and school and/or sports physicals also are available.
“Texas Health has completely redesigned the traditional urgent care experience so patients can get the care they need, when they need it,” said Jamie Harraid, Texas Health vice president of Ambulatory Services. “Our centers are embedded in communities, so patients can access health services easily and quickly.”
Texas Health Resources is a nonprofit health system that cares for more patients in North Texas than any other provider, according to THR. Its service area consists of 16 counties and more than seven million people. Its hospital locations include Texas Health Harris Methodist near downtown, Texas Health Harris Southwest, Texas Health Arlington Memorial, and Texas Health Huguley, a stone’s thrown from the Burleson Breeze clinic.
The Burleson location is one of 26 Breeze Urgent Care centers across North Texas. In 2023, Texas Health added centers in Arlington, Cedar Hill, Fort Worth, Mansfield, Richardson and Rockwall. Like all the others in the Breeze family, the Burleson location will be open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. seven days a week, 365 days a year, holidays be damned.
Breeze Urgent Care accepts most major insurance plans and offers a flat-rate fee of $205 for patients who don’t have insurance, which can be ideal for people who may not have a primary care doctor or those who like the convenience of urgent care.
“Patients are greeted by a personal clinical concierge, a point person who guides them through their entire visit,” Harraid said.
Patients are seen by a nurse practitioner or physician assistant, Harraid said. Every clinic is equipped with an on-site pharmacy kiosk stocked with many commonly prescribed medications, so, patients can walk out with whatever medication they’ve been prescribed for what ails them. (It is not, however, a retail pharmacy. For routine refills, see your regular provider.)
