United Way of Tarrant County
Regina Williams
Regina R. Williams has been selected to serve as the interim CEO of the United Way of Tarrant County.
The appointment will become effective on Oct. 23.
She will succeed Leah King, who announced last week that she would step down to become the president of the JPS Foundation.
Williams is currently an executive vice president and chief impact officer for the United Way of Tarrant County.
“Regina demonstrates unwavering commitment to UWTC and the community its employees support,” said Steve Bobb, United Way of Tarrant County board chair, in a statement. “The executive committee of the UWTC board feels fortunate that we have a deep bench of knowledge and experience on the UWTC leadership team to provide continuity of work during the transition and going forward.”
The nonprofit’s executive committee of the board of directors, led by Bobb, is launching a formal search to find a permanent president and CEO.
As EVP and chief impact officer since 2023, Williams has led the strategic investment of UWTC’s financial and nonfinancial resources to improve outcomes for the individuals and families the organization serves.
She brings experience in strategic planning, program development and management, according to a press release.
Williams joined UWTC in 2018 as vice president of community investment and regional director of UWTC-Greater Arlington. Prior to her arrival at the nonprofit, Williams was a social worker and grant and community partnership manager at Fort Worth Dunbar High School.
