LanCarte Commercial
Westcliff Shopping Center
Fort Worth-based commercial real estate firm LanCarte Commercial said on Tuesday that it had finalized leases totaling 19,745 square feet at Westcliff Shopping Center.
The new tenants include The Cowtown, the largest multi-race running event in North Texas. The organization announced in March that it intended to move to the shopping center. Another is Specialist Jewelry Clinic, which specializes in custom jewelry; Fort Worth Dance Academy; and the Organized Nest, which offers professional home organization services throughout the Fort Worth-Dallas.
“We could not be more excited about our new location, where we can operate from a larger facility in a neighborhood where we can grow community outreach and better serve runners and families with quality programming and race activities,” said Heidi Swartz, executive director of The Cowtown.
The move stems from The Cowtown’s growth, the need for adequate parking, and the opportunity to provide additional community programming from a location that is near TCU, the Trinity Trails, and several Fort Worth ISD schools.
The Cowtown officials say the space, being renovated by Tryba Architects, will be better suited to house race-related storage and retail operations, runner training activities, adult fitness classes and the C.A.L.F. summer camps.
The lease, for approximately 15,000 square feet, is for a minimum of 10 years.
The site was once home to a Cook Children’s Medical Center and before that, seemingly a lifetime ago, Monnig’s department store. The Westcliff Shopping Center, anchored by Albertson’s, opened in 1949, with additions erected in subsequent years.
Despite the market and rising interest rates, the Westcliff neighborhood remains a rapidly growing area for retail and office, LanCarte officials said.
Ben Gehrke and Riley Dow of LanCarte Commercial represented the landlord — CTO Realty Growth, Inc., a publicly traded real estate investment trust that owns and operates a portfolio of high-quality, retail- based properties.
