Fort Worth, Texas
UMB Bank has been in the Texas market for a decade, and while many things have changed since 2013, one thing has not — our associates’ dedication to the people of the Fort Worth community.
Impactful organization
Throughout our time in Texas, our associates have worked with a diverse collection of nonprofit organizations and companies across the DFW community, including:
- Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo
- Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO)
- Junior Achievement (JA) of the Chisholm Trail
- Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce
- Streams and Valleys
- Tarrant County Homeless Coalition
Below, we take a closer look at a few other organizations and how our Texas leadership serves the DFW community.
Cristo Rey Fort Worth
Cristo Rey Worth is a national network of more than 38 schools dedicated to educating young students from low- to moderate-income families, as well as supporting their college endeavors by raising money for their tuition through fundraising and corporate donations. Michael Garner, president of UMB Bank’s Texas region, has been with UMB for two decades and is a member of the executive committee for Cristo Rey Fort Worth. He has seen first hand the impact education has on students’ lives and believes investing in our children’s futures will create adults who are excited to be active participants in their community, which builds a better future for us all.
Fort Worth Sports Commission
The Fort Worth Sports Commission is a nonprofit focused on enhancing the image, economy, and quality of life for the community through the power of sports.
Eddie Broussard, president of UMB Bank’s Fort Worth region, serves as chairman of the nonprofit. Broussard joined UMB in 2022 and has been an integral part in promoting the overall growth and direction of the Fort Worth market. He enjoys serving the community in any way he can and was a past chair on the board of Downtown Fort Worth, Inc.
Downtown Fort Worth, Inc.
Downtown Fort Worth, Inc. (DFWI) is the engine that drives the development and transformation of downtown into a desired place to live, visit, and do business by cultivating leadership involvement in programs, projects, and partnerships. As past chair of the board of directors, Eddie helped lead the downtown strategic action planning process alongside business leaders, residents, property owners, volunteers, and staff to make Fort Worth a premier destination.
Community is at our core
At UMB, we are passionate about supporting the community every day and do so through associate initiatives, drives, fundraisers, matching gifts and grants.
We strive to always put action behind words and support the causes important to our associates. We not only encourage our associates to better their communities but also give them the time off to do so, while continuing to back up their involvement with financial support.
For more than a century, we have stayed true to our commitment to the communities we serve and are excited to see just how our Texas associates will continue to impact the community going forward.
