It’s a rare setting when so much talent, enthusiasm, passion, and creativity are gathered together under one roof in one banquet room for an evening of fine dining. But that was exactly what the Fort Worth Inc. 2021 Entrepreneur of Excellence gala did Thursday night at the Fort Worth Club.
And that, of course, includes Four Day Weekend, the now-legendary comedy troupe that served as masters of ceremony for the occasion as they only know how.
They had everyone howling, even their subjects of “affection.”
However, the night belonged to the 20 distinguished entrepreneurs honored for their persistence through doubt, risk, setback, and all the things out of their control — like, say, a pandemic — to create their own path in building something special for their families, the communities their products and services benefit, and the employees they put to work.
You believed the mission, despite the seemingly unclimbable obstacles, was possible.
No matter whether ultimately an EOE winner or a finalist, all were winners in a gritty, rugged competition involving a set of demanding criteria and judging in which only the very best rise to the top.
