The Fort Worth Stockyards have been booming with development, with plenty of new retail offerings lined up for 2020. Another shop is open in Mule Alley, just in time for the Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame Ranch Rodeo this weekend.
King Ranch Saddle Shop opened its fourth location at 128 E. Exchange St., Ste. 530, joining fellow Western brands Wrangler and Lucchese in the Mule Alley development. The shop specializes in saddles and accessories, as well as luggage, home goods, and outdoor gear.
The shop's architecture is based off the Main House at King Ranch in South Texas, a casa grande-inspired structure built in the 1900s by an uncle-nephew architectural team from San Antonio.
King Ranch Saddle Shop opens the same week as the Texas Cowboy Hall of Fame Ranch Rodeo, which takes place Friday and Saturday. With actor and musician Red Steagall playing host, the rodeo features real working cowboys and cowgirls from 30 prestigious ranches competing in events that depict work on the ranch.
