Sarah Morgan, the founder of Audiolo, a company that accelerates the entire production pipeline and saves production studios millions of dollars per show, was the winner of the second annual EOSERA EmpowHERment Pitch Competition on Tuesday night.
With the distinction came a $15,000 first prize sponsored by Simmons Bank.
Hangio, founded by Ayo Aigbe, was awarded $10,000 for second place, sponsored by Higginbotham, and Bairitone Health, founded by Meagan Pitcher, placed third.
“Congratulations to all the finalists who competed so brilliantly tonight, and a heartfelt cheers to Audiolo on their win for the evening,” said EOSERA CEO Elyse Stoltz Dickerson in a statement. “I was blown away by the ingenuity and bravery in the room, and I wish you all continued success in your businesses.”
Held during Global Entrepreneurship Week, the competition was supported by sponsors Simmons Bank, Higginbotham, and partners Satori Capital, Tech Fort Worth, UNT Health Science Center, and Stagen Leadership Academy.
The competition consisted of pitching for eight minutes, followed by four minutes of Q&A.
Judging the event was Mia Meachem, Meggie Lowy, and Kari Crowe. Meachem is president of KINLO, a sun care brand founded by Naomi Osaka. Lowy is senior vice president of Hillwood, one of the top industrial, commercial, and residential real estate developers in the country. Crowe is CEO of MELT Ice Creams, an ice cream shop in Texas with four locations and products in Whole Foods.
