Bank of America said that its philanthropic footprint in 2023 totaled nearly $3 million in grants across North Texas, according to a press release.
The bank’s support went to 53 organizations working to address matters of workforce development and job training, basic needs, and affordable housing. The institution also named two “Neighborhood Builders” — Impact Ventures and Tarrant To & Through (T3) Partnership.
As part of the Neighborhood Builder’s program, these organizations received a grant along with leadership training.
“Nonprofit organizations understand the needs and obstacles North Texas faces, uniquely positioning them to develop the solutions and services needed to promote economic opportunity,” said Jennifer Chandler, president, Bank of America Dallas, in a statement. “Bank of America will continue to deploy capital and resources to tackle the barriers embedded within our community and create real impact in the lives of North Texans and the families we serve.”
In addition to philanthropic capital, the company also volunteered more than 200,000 hours locally across North Texas, an increase of more than 30,000 hours from the previous year.
“Across North Texas, our communities are growing, and with that growth comes increased demand and added strain on our nonprofit organizations,” said Mike Pavell, president of Bank of America Fort Worth. “We see the needs our nonprofit organizations are responding to every day, and Bank of America recognizes our responsibility to support these efforts, both financially and through time volunteered.”
