Beauty Manufacturing Solutions Corp announced plans on Tuesday to expand operations into Fort Worth, according to the Fort Worth Chamber.
With a facility in Coppell, this will be the company’s second manufacturing facility in Dallas-Fort Worth.
The company, a high-tech manufacturer of beauty products that includes Naterra, L’Oreal, Johnson & Johnson, Mary Kay, Unilever, Tree Hut, and other brands, plans to invest approximately $150 million in the advanced manufacturing facility across construction, inventory, robotics, processing, and filling technologies.
The facility will bring more than 250 highly skilled jobs to the city by Dec. 31, 2025, with an annual average salary of $65,800, according to the city.
The 445,870-square-foot facility, located at Hillwood’s AllianceTexas development, supports the growth of the company’s core business in manufacturing and development of personal care and beauty care products.
“Hillwood is pleased to welcome Beauty Manufacturing Solutions Corp. to AllianceTexas, bringing hundreds of new manufacturing jobs to Fort Worth,” said Samuel Rhea, director of industrial leasing at Hillwood. “Reshoring continues to be an important piece of our regional economic development story, and the beauty industry is quickly becoming a focal point in our growing manufacturing sector here at AllianceTexas.”
“We’re proud to welcome leading beauty manufacturer, Beauty Manufacturing Solutions Corp, to Fort Worth.” said Chris Strayer, executive vice president of economic development of the Fort Worth Chamber. “This second facility will create additional jobs and growth in Fort Worth, all while retaining its initial investment in DFW.”
The Fort Worth City Council on Tuesday voted in favor of a 10-year tax abatement for the project of up to 70% of the real and business personal property not to exceed $2 million.
The proposed capital investment that Beauty Manufacturing Solutions would make as part of this project is $70 million. Of that, the company would commit to a minimum of $30 million in real property improvements by Dec. 31, 2024, as well as a minimum of $40 million in taxable business personal property by Jan. 1, 2026.
As part of the tax abatement program, the company will be required to spend 15% of construction costs with certified minority-owned businesses.
“Beauty Manufacturing Solutions Corp's presence brings another innovation-driven, future-focused company to Fort Worth while also building upon our city's historic strengths in advanced manufacturing,” said Robert Sturns, director of economic development for the city of Fort Worth. “We're very pleased to welcome them to Fort Worth as they continue to expand their operations in the DFW area.”
Based in Coppell, Beauty Manufacturing is a certified minority-owned business. The company develops and manufactures beauty care, personal care, and baby care products for leading brands with a focus on innovation, automation, and sustainability.
“The growth and success of companies, especially in manufacturing, need great partnerships and great people. BMSC is fortunate to partner with the city of Fort Worth for this ambitious new expansion that will create a new standard in personal care contract manufacturing,” Beauty Manufacturing CEO Peter Song said.
“This site will merge new technologies in manufacturing along with the supporting infrastructure and ambitions from the city and our company. Most importantly, it gives us the opportunity to welcome new teammates into our organization for the decades to come.”
