Child Care Associates
Susanne Malone
Susanne Malone, a highly regarded figure in the North Texas nonprofit space, has been tapped as Child Care Associates’ director of Early Learning Services, the organization announced on Monday.
Malone, a licensed clinical social worker, has been providing agency and community-based leadership in North Texas communities for more than 25 years.
“Susanne’s passion for impacting the lives and relationships of children and families can be seen in all that she does,” says Child Care Associates CEO Karanae Spradlin. “For years, she has actively engaged in numerous community-based, social service collaboratives and systems of care initiatives related to early learning, social services and mental health. We are thrilled to have her on our education team.”
Child Care Associates is one of the largest child development nonprofits in North Texas and has served more than half a million young children over the past 54 years.
Malone received a master’s degree from the University of Southern California and has served on multiple boards, including Workforce Solutions for Tarrant County, the Mental Health Connection of Tarrant County, the Early Learning Alliance, and MHMR’s Early Childhood Advisory Committee.
Malone also launched and led Lena Pope’s Early Learning Centers. Malone has bridged a career with services in both mental health and education to help champion comprehensive, quality services to children and their families in North Texas.
In her new role, Malone will work alongside leadership across CCA to develop and implement a sustainable, mix‐model early education model that builds on best practice standards across Head Start Program Performance, Texas Rising Star Standards, the National Association for the Education of Young Children, PreK, and state and local agencies.
“The early learning landscape has been inevitably impacted the past few years. It’s been difficult, and the challenges are real,” says Malone. “I’m honored to be working with an organization that takes seriously their role in responding and addressing the reality of that impact. Now more than ever, we need innovative community solutions that ensure high quality early learning is accessible to every child, regardless of socio economic standing, neighborhood or circumstance.”
