Miguel Ruiz
J.O. Agency said on Wednesday that it had added Miguel Ruiz to the staff as the firm’s new marketing strategist.
Ruiz joins J.O. from Ebby Halliday Companies where he served as the brand marketing manager. Ruiz also served as a public affairs officer in the Texas Army National Guard.
“Miguel’s marketing experience in North Texas, along with his military background, will provide key opportunities for our clients looking to expand their reach,” said Jennifer Henderson, J.O. president and founder, in a statement.
Founded in 1998, J.O. is a woman-owned marketing and public relations agency in Fort Worth. J.O. specializes in through brand strategy, campaign creative and campaign strategy, exceptional graphic design and public relations.
At Ebby Halliday, the Dallas-based real-estate giant, Ruiz oversaw the digital marketing strategy for three of the agency’s flagship companies, consisting of more than 1,000 realtors. Within a year, Ruiz was elevated to brand marketing manager for Williams Trew, one of the many brands of Ebby Halliday, where he managed all direct marketing initiatives and budget.
Through his six years of service in the military, Ruiz worked in internal and external organizational communication, marketing, advertising, print and broadcast journalism, and working with federal agencies.
Ruiz, born and raised in Fort Worth, attended the University of Texas at Arlington, earning a BBA in marketing and another in management. He also has multiple public relations certifications from the Department of Defense.
