Frank Kent Motor Co., the Fort Worth auto dealer, said Thursday that it will sell its Hyundai dealership to the Hiley Automotive Group April 8.
The sale follows Kent's acquisition earlier this month of AutoNation Chevrolet and AutoNation Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram in the fast-growing Ennis. "Funds are being allocated to refresh the look of the side-by-side dealerships making it well worth the short drive out of town to get to get 'small town prices,' " Kent said in announcing the Hiley deal.
In selling the Hyundai dealership, Will Churchill, who with his sister, Corrie Watson, own and run the Frank Kent businesses today, said "we worked diligently to find the right organization who maintains the family values we have established, but is also better suited to drive the Hyundai brand here in Fort Worth. The Hiley family is also a Fort Worth based family with a commitment to the community."
Churchill and Watson, who own substantial real estate and other business holdings on the Near Southside, also said Thursday that Fort Brewery and Pizza will be the new name of the Chimera Brewing Co., which they recently acquired on West Magnolia Avenue.
