Quorum Architects announced on Thursday the addition of Amanda Robinson as interior design project manager.
In a press release, the firm noted that her experience in health-care design and specialization in women’s health clinics and Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) projects, aligned with Quorum’s commitment to the future of health-care environments.
Robinson is NCIDQ certified, the industry's recognized indicator of proficiency in interior design principles and a designer's commitment to the profession. She is also a member of the International Interior Design Association.
“I’m thrilled to join a team that recognizes the growing need for safe, comforting, and functional health-care environments as the world's population ages,” Robinson said in a statement. “Quorum is dedicated to creating design solutions that alleviate the burdens of patients and healthcare staff.”
Quorum Architects was founded in 1992 in Fort Worth. The firm is registered in 38 states.
PACE centers play a vital role in providing adult daycare and much-needed respite for families and caregivers. The firm said that Robinson has been instrumental in developing design standards for these facilities as well as women’s (age 65-plus) health clinics, and other medical health-care systems.
The firm said Robinson's portfolio encompasses a wide range of health-care projects, including prototype national rollouts, micro hospitals, freestanding emergency departments, primary and urgent care clinics, pediatric clinics, surgical suites, behavioral health units, and tenant finish outs.
Robinson, who has a degree in interior design from University of North Texas, has shared her expertise as a speaker at the Environment Design Research Association Conference, where she served as a guest panelist. She has also been recognized by the Healthcare Advisory Council as a “Select Healthcare Designer” for her positive impact on health-care outcomes. Robinson is also a founding member of Women in Interior Design for Gender Equality.
“With Amanda’s experience and knowledge, we’re opening up new possibilities for advancing Quorum’s healthcare clients’ goals and ensuring their spaces are designed to meet the unique needs of their staff and patients,” said Karin Taylor, Quorum partner and director of interior design.
