Bessy Segovia
Bessy Segovia, marketing coordinator at Quorum Architects, the Fort Worth based architecture and interior design firm, will be honored with the Rising Star Award from the American Advertising Federation District 10 later this month.
The Mosaic Star award winners are chosen by a committee or the board of directors at each of AAF District 10’s local clubs. Those individuals are honored for committing their work, volunteer time, and public platforms to further DE&I in their communities.
“Since joining us less than a year ago, Bessy has had a significant impact on our ability to deliver effective communications and marketing materials for Quorum — her role and enthusiasm for her work is enhanced by her involvement with AAF,” said Patty Potter, Quorum director of marketing, in a statement.
Segovia will receive the Rising Star award at the District 10 Mosaic Awards presentation on April 19 during the district’s annual convention at SMU.
As current board member and communications chair of AAF Fort Worth, Segovia is responsible for the chapter’s social media presence and helping coordinate volunteers for events, among other responsibilities. Her involvement with AAF began while earning her bachelor’s in pubic relations and advertising at the University of Texas at Arlington where she served as public relations chair for the UTA AAF chapter.
“Besides meeting and interacting with smart and interesting people, being engaged with AAF allows me to stay informed of industry trends and methodologies and then put that knowledge to work for Quorum,” adds Segovia
