Debany Davila
Debany Davila, a 2022 graduate of Texas A&M University School of Law, has joined Pham Harrison, a Fort Worth-based labor and employment law firm.
Davila was a law clerk for the firm during the spring.
“Debany is a great fit for our firm,” says Caroline Harrison, managing partner, in a statement. “She brings not only a passion for helping small businesses and employers, but a background in accounting that will be invaluable to our clients.”
Davila is awaiting results of her Texas state bar exam.
At A&M, Davila’s concentration was business and tax Law. She was also a research assistant to Professors Andrew Morriss and Charlotte Ku on business laws and tax treaties. While at A&M, she received scholarships from the Dallas Hispanic Law Foundation and the Mexican American Bar Association.Davila earned her a bachelor’s in business administration with an emphasis in accounting and an MBA with an emphasis in finance from the University of the Southwest in Hobbs, New Mexico, and was a student-athlete on its basketball team.
She is bilingual — native to English and Spanish.
Previously, Davila was a law clerk with Holt & Hutchins in Bryan, and clerked with First Cash, Inc., and the Securities and Exchange Commission in Fort Worth. Davila’s experience in accounting includes two years with ATKG in San Antonio and Trois Enterprises in Laredo.
Additionally, Davila was Vice President of OUTLaw, the LGBTQ+ Student Association at A&M, and a member of the Latinx Law Student Association, Women of Color Collective, Business Law Student Association, and the Tax Law Student Association.
