Who knows what the Texas Rangers will look like on the field to open 2020 in their new Arlington ballpark? But the team on Wednesday released renderings that teased dimensions of the new field.
The left and right field lines play similarly, at 329 and 326 feet from home plate, compared to 332 and 325 feet respectively.
Straightway centerfield is seven feet longer, at 407 feet. The deepest parts of the ballpark are 410 feet in both left center and right center, compared to 407 feet approaching right center in the old ballpark.
The left field power alley is 372 feet, compared to 390 in the old ballpark. The Rangers bullpen juts into right field, altering the dimensions of the right field power alley. Right field is 374 feet.
