Texas Wesleyan University on Tuesday announced the appointment of Michele M. Boillotat as vice president for advancement.
Boillotat brings a wealth of expertise in the form of three decades of experience in collaborative leadership and relationship building within nonprofit organizations and higher education institutions, according to the university.
“We are thrilled to welcome an advancement professional of such high caliber to Texas Wesleyan University,” said Emily Messer, university president, in a statement. “Michele has an extensive record of accomplishment in building relationships, and collaborative strategic planning for advancing priorities and fundraising efforts. She is known throughout Texas and beyond for her leadership by connecting people, purpose and programs that result in enriching opportunities for our students, faculty, and staff.”
Boillotat is returning to higher education after a serving as the vice president of development at the Texas Women's Foundation. Prior to that, she served as the assistant vice president for development at the University of Texas at Arlington.
Boillotat's extensive career in philanthropy includes roles at Indiana University Foundation, Rice University, and Dartmouth College where she served in various capacities, all focusing on driving awareness and increasing donor relationships.
Boillotat earned a master’s in higher education from The Ohio State University and holds a bachelor’s in mathematics from Duquesne University.
